Every whistle has a different voice pitch.
So what should be my whistle settings?
When the game first launched there was a bug with character whistles and I’m not sure if it ever got fixed.
If you use anything but [Whistle 1], how your character’s whistle sounds to YOU will sound different from how your character’s whistle sounds to OTHERS.
There’s a preview option in character creation, so you can experiment with different “clarity” and “pitch” values. :)
[Edit: Your character’s whistle is a PERMANENT decision. The only way you can change it is by deleting your character and creating a new one. Rockstar should REALLY release an update that allows you to change your whistle when you “change appearance”.]
The whistle is not importent i just wanna have a deeper voice for my character nothing else.
I’m pretty sure your character’s voice always stays the same, regardless of pitch/clarity.
Your character never talks, they just make the occasional sound when getting hit, riding fast on a horse, etc.
No it doesn't because i had one Character who had a deeper voice and doesn't sounded like Justin Bieber...
Maybe Pitch / Clarity / Whistle-Type can effect your character’s voice. Your best bet (unfortunately) is to try one arrangement of settings during character creation, see how the character sounds in-game, delete the character, and then try a different arrangement of settings. o_o
Tragically, this‘ll take an extremely long time because there’s no “skip” option for the beginning cut-scenes. @_@
"Pitch and Clarity dont matter. Whistle style does. Style 1 and 2 sound like a teen boy. Style 5 sound like 30ish man. Haven't tested 3 and 4.
Edit: Pitch and clarity do matter. After creating and deleting about 20 times more. I find out that there're 3 possible type of voice : teenage kid voice, 30ish man voice and a deeper man voice with a little roughness. And only a fixed combination will give the 2 latter. Here's the combination
30ish : pitch 50%, clarity max, style 5
Deeper : pitch 50%, clarity max, style 3
Bieber : all other combination
Tho im not sure that this the only combination, maybe different one can give the same result, but i cant imaging me try changing slider bit by bit to figure this out."
Also here is therory you can change your character whistle for 10 g bars/400$ if you choose randomise all option. It "possibly" random change hidden whiste option too. Just remember your other character sliders. Of course you cant control or preview changes, or maybe it not works at all, like I said its theory, and because i satisfied with my character voice i did not tested it.
Yo Spada, did you find a solution for those Justin Bieber yells on the horse ? Bro, I can't stand my voice anymore and deleting my character is not an option at all. I've tried a randomize custom in the appearance menu and it didn't change my fu**ing whistle
Occasional sounds?! This dude is constantly moaning, yipping and hoo-ing and haaa-ing and whatnot! Especially when he falls, when he drives the horse... play hundreds of hours with this idiotic, infantile voice pitch and you will learn the hard way how annoying, yah obnoxious this sound is. And you can only change something while you create the character. Not that this voice of a 12 y/o would change much, but yah, if he would really never "talk" and just stfu, that would be great! Or even greater: if R* provided a setting to edit the voice/whistles after our liking and to test it ingame how it sounds like. But no. 21st century and you can't edit the voice of a character for a proper roleplay. My char has a badass and at the same time sophisticated gunslinger look but sounds like a damn primary school boy. That ruins every session for me, since it's not at all immersive but just... idiotic! Or unintentionally hilarious. Minus the second part. Not. Funny.
I tried the deep voice combination listed above and got the baby Link voice. So that must not be the answer
