I want Horse Meat and Pelt in RDO

In RDO there are tons of wild horses and they are completely pointless. You can't get them as permanent mounts in your stable. It is fun to shoot them with carcano or shotgun, but right now there is no way to harvest the horse carcasses.

So my suggestion is, make them like the other animals you can hunt. Horse pelt and meat would give these majestic creatures a purpose in RDO. Right now they're just wasting server resources.

Another idea which might be controversial, maybe dogs should also give dog meat and dog pelt. Just a thought, but I understand people might not like dog hunting. In that case remember a wolf is the same species.

i heard it was illegal to kill horses for consumption but not other reasons i am assuming from how specific the wording is.

maybe make a black market meat market dog/horse meat/pelts/canines?

I've gotta agree with Dungeon here: I can't see the average player ever needing or wanting to use a wild horse when they could just as easily come across a random NPC and steal their horse instead. They're 100% pointless.
So how about this as a solution: Rockstar stops treating this $60 game like it's a mobile game and let people permanently keep horses they find and bring to a stable? And once that's done, how about they make the online feel like an actual game and not a chore?

Stolen horses have a purpose, yes. They're npc mounts. No problem there. I'm only talking about the feral horses, they just run around doing nothing. They have no owner so I cannot imagine it's illegal to hunt them. In fact, in real life there are horse butchers right now. It's actually pretty good, horse or donkey salami, very tasty.

Yes, blackmarket dog and cat butcher in the Chinese quarters in St Denis would be a funny thing lol.

Edit. OK I looked it up, apparently horse meat is taboo in the US. Didn't know that. Here in Europe it's certainly uncommon, but there is a horse butcher near me in Munich, so it's not forbidden or anything.

Very good idea. It wouldn't even hurt the economy that much, because the really expensive breeds like black Arabian don't roam around freely.

Well...I think hunting Horses should require you to have a Hunting wagon though. Those beasties are too big to plunk on the back of your horse!

I just want to be able to capture them and sell them. Horse Thieves were a HUGE part of the Old West, Rockstar would be wise to capitalize on this and give the players another new Role...Horse Thief.
