Go to: IN-GAME MENU-> Graphics Tab-> Graphics API line (can be restricted for changes at first)->
change: Vulkan -> DirectX 12.
Restart the game.
Works fine.
Open reshade > click on "Enable / disable ReShade in Vulkan globally" > Yes > check the box
With a lot of fight I found a solution to get it work with vulkan api:
1.Download & install (in my case) ReShade_Setup_5.0.2.exe
2.Download & copy https://github.com/martymcmodding/qUINT/archive/refs/heads/master.zip in the folder of the game/reshade-shaders (in my case D:\Red Dead Redemption 2\reshade-shaders\ )
3.Download & copy only the file from rdr2_photorealistic-4-3-0-1579270841\rdr2_photorealistic_3.0/rdr2_photorealistic_3.0.ini to game root folder
4.To get it work with RDR2 vulkan api you need to do a tricky move....go back to ReShade_Setup_5.0.2.exe right click and unpack the exe with winrar/zip you will meet the files:
ReShade32.dll
ReShade32.json
ReShade64.dll
ReShade64.json
VkLayer_override.json
I just copy all files into RDR2 and then press windows + r keys and type regedit.
In the regedit copy/paste this Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\ImplicitLayers
and there you right click and create 2 new DWORD (32-bit) value with the names:
D:\Red Dead Redemption 2\ReShade64.json
D:\Red Dead Redemption 2\VkLayer_override.json
5.Start the game and surprise surprise look whos pop up ....its the reshader....
6.press home key and on first bar click and choose rdr2_photorealistic_3.0.ini
Have fun!!!
P.S. I think this method should work for all other vulkan api.
Thanks for this ValiTMB - really helpeful - followed instructions (using another preset) and it's working fine using Vulkan API.
Good game! ´ ; )
BRUH, INBELIVEBLE, it was the only metod that realy works. U got to be some kinda of hacker or whatever, cuz it did realy work mate...
