It's an upgrade you have to buy from Wilderness Outfitters. After that it should be in a big black pot over a hot fire.

There are also stew pots in some towns, for example the camp across the road from the butcher in Valentine.
But I'm not sure if those work for the daily challenge, since it's a trader role challenge.

you have recipes, that stew give you full yello cores (all of them) if there is one upgrade i'm not dissapointed of, its that stew.

PS: basic stew (the free option) does not give yello cores, its the stew you make with big gain meat.
