Red dead online sucks?

is this mode a joke? i cant do any online story missions because i need people do it with? not every easy when literally nobody does missions. I cant get into any of the game modes and ive done a total of 2 missions because i cant finish another one for days until magically someone decides to play the same mission

It's because most players have done the missions already. Wait until the missions are a daily and you should find people very quickly on those days.
In the meantime there are plenty of other things to do; stranger missions, dailies, free roam events, hunting, fishing, treasure hunting, herb gathering, hideouts and all the roles. I probably missed a few things.

ill check all this out,i was really interested in bounty hunting so i wanted to grind hard for that

What kind of response is that. His point is valid and there should be no reason for a new player to have to wait for a mission they're on to be a daily.. >_> They should instead give an incentive for established players to queue for older missions beyond random dailies. FFXIV is a good example of this. If a player has never done the dungeon and other players have they will receive extra exp for helping that player complete the dungeon as well as dailies that are dungeon specific like lv1-50 missions extra exp and money. You can then double up on rewards if you do that daily and help a new player.

The kind that tells him how he can get other people to do the mission. I can't change when people decide to queue up for the story missions.

I am in the same position, just started online and literally cannot do anything because i was stuck waiting for people to do "horse stealing" mission. like just let me roam and hunt like the old one

hey, here's a helpful tip for online - if you're stuck waiting for people, press L, go to 'Posse', and make a temporary posse - people usually join posses much faster than they join specific missions, and from there you can start the mission with your posse. this has helped me complete all the story missions much faster than if i had waited for people. hope this helped!

L=Lobby Menu=>Quick Join=>Story Mission On-call. You can do this with or without Posse and when the mission is ready it pulls you in automatically. While you are waiting go do something else.

Well, it doesn't let you do a specific one, does it. So he might end up doing either a random one (which would be a bad joke if he wasn't able to do any of them yet) or he might end up doing the same ones over and over.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I only started 2 weeks ago and did actually find lots of people via matchmaking. So I only ever used this option once because a daily expected it from me.

Even if he doesn't get his mission right away he can recycle old ones for XP and cash. Eventually he will get it. Gott a work withg what you have sometimes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you were able to play the horse stealing mission solo
