Sockeye Salmon not biting

I spent the last half hour trying to fish in the river near valentine with the river lure and they arent biting at all. I'm catching everything else so easily but they arent biting, i fish near them, i fish near other types of fish and empty waters and nothing.

You tried using dead eye whilst fishing to spot them and then cast near them?

i did but i gave up and switched to worm bait. Then all of a sudden I got the stupid salmon, not even 1 minute after they started biting.......
