Camp ran out food in third day, is this normal?

I got a complain from Dutch says "we need more food or this bastards will eat us" this is literally
the third day after the gang move to its new place (getting out from the snow) literally start the of game. How do I get more food? by doing main missions or should I go to a general store to get some? and how do I get more money except doing main storyline? Is there a side way to get money and food without doing the story quests?

You need to bring meat after skinning an animal or bring an animal carcass that is not suitable for crafting to fill up the food for camp.

You don't really need to get food for thee camp, but it lets you eat the camp stew which could fortify your cores. There's really no downside for not bringing food to the camp besides the gang telling you need to bring food. Even after filling the provisions for the camp, it'll likely need to be refilled again the day after. If you're going back to camp, just bring a 2 or 3* deer back, it'll fill most of the provisions for the camp.
