No voices in cutscenes/dialog everything else works as far sounds.
So got this weird new thing happening. You see it used to work now it stopped for whatever reason? I tried searching all over the net couldnt find anything. I tried whatever came close to this issue. I also don't have that weird headphones ppl were having issues with. I went under sound control pan too and changed from default to the headphones im using. I put it on stereo in game as well.

Any success solving this?
I'm also having this problem. Just downloaded and started playing for the first time, and the intro scenes had no character voice audio until I cranked the dialogue slider in the settings and reduced the master volume and music sliders. Then, the characters sounded like they were at the end of a long tunnel or hallway.

If i recall you have to shrink the game and go in sound control panel under system settings. Make sure it stereo and no virtual surround sound is on. If you have 3rd party program you gotta mess with that. They had a patch and my game needed to have a scan for "missing files" or whatever? I don't know how or why but that fixed it for me.

It was the standard patch that the game auto updates. If you having this problem then i guess i was just lucky? I could only suggest maybe reinstalling the whole game.

appreciate the response! Rockstar told me to open Task Manager and close all other programs. Did that once, haven't had a problem since. I can use headphones, laptop speakers, etc.

I just got the game and I've been dealing with this same issue. I'm using a pair of earbuds that are plugged into my pc, and I genuinely can't find a fix anywhere. I've done just about everything I could think of in the sound settings (even for the earbud settings, although the option for stereo is nowhere to be found) so I'm commenting on this post as a bit of a last resort.
did anyone manage to solve this problem? I'm having it now and I don't know what else to do
