How to get stable 60 fps on rtx2060?
Hello everyone,
I cannot get stable 60 fps on my setup with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RTX2060.

Does anyone here have settings for stable 60 fps on a RTX2060?

Much Regards

This isn't the type of game to chase after fps. I run this game at 30 on my coffee lake laptop and it actually looks good. It's not like other games. The movements and camera work in this game are rather clunky and slow. On my gtx 1070 I can get pretty close to a constant 60. But even then, at a campfire I'm 50.

I don't think you'll get a stable 60 on every corner of the map. Have you tried geforce experience? You'll get people on here talkin trash about it, but the fact is they never use it so how do they know? I use it and it works perfectly for this game. It works so good in fact I'm recommending you try it.

the game also needs a good processor. All polygons are calculated by your processor. your RTX just calculate the textures on these polygons.
If you cant reach 60 fps, you need to decrease the polygons on screen, to chill your processor: Decrease the objects display distance, the game will run smoother.

I have a Ryzen 7 2700X and a Gtx 1060 6Go, my game turns at 60 fps 1080p high settings, draw distance set to 0 and detail distance set to 0

Texture Quality - ultra (high if you have a gpu with low vram)
anisotropic filtering - x8 (x16 if you get a stable 60fps in dense towns)
lighting quality - medium (set to high for moon shadow casting but at a cost of 15-20fps. This is the single biggest graphics difference fidelity wise)
Global Illumination Quality - Ultra (casts orange tints to shadow casts in lighting. Almost impossible to notice)
shadow quality - medium (bump to high for longer shadow fine detail draw but at one of the single highest fps drops ingame in dense areas.)
far shadow quality - low
screen space ambient occlusion - medium (i dont rec off as it does impact fidelity too much to lose)
reflection quality - low (can bump to medium but tbh nobody really can see this difference real time unless looking for it in windows but is THE single worst fps dropper in game settings.)
mirror quality - high
water quality - custom
volumetrics quality - custom
particle quality - medium
tessellation quality - medium
taa - medium
fxaa - off
msaa - off

advanced settings - unlocked
graphics api - vulkan
near volumetric resolution - low
far volumetric resolution - low
unlocked volumetric raymarch resolution - off (on will remove jaggies in clouds but a lot of people wont notice)
particle lighting quality - low
soft shadows - off
grass shadows - low
long shadows - on
full resolution screen space ambient occlusion - off (reduces shimmer in grass if on)
water refraction quality - medium
water reflection quality - low
water physics quality - 2/4
resolution scale - 3/4 (x0.750)
taa sharpening - full bar highlighted
motion blur - off
reflection msaa - off
geometry level of detail - full bar highlighted
grass level of detail - 3/10
tree quality - low
parallax occlusion mapping quality - hight
decal quality - low
fur quality - high
tree tessellation - off

I had to tweak the settings quite a lot to get 50-60fps on my 1070 at 1440p, and even with a G-Sync monitor this game doesn't look smooth, 50fps would normally be okay, I find 60fps on this looks like Watch Dogs 2 or Mafia 3 did at 40fps back when I played those at low framerates. RDR2 is a great game but the PC version is dissapointing me still.

Yes i allready tried geforce experience, but it puts the graphics even higher and i get a few less fps.
