Is my inventory endless?
no one know exactly , some suspect you can put 30 pelt of each animal and of each quality , if it's the case it's like "infinite" .
but i'm sure you can put 7/8 on the same time .
Is my inventory (all items) limited? Can I carry unlimited stuff?
You really do not want that. Trust me, Trying to find a certain weapon can be annoying. You can have up to 4 guns and a throwing/Utility/melee EQUIPPED at a time. Two Pistols (if you have to holsters for them), Shoulder and Back Longarms. While I don't know if you can have unlimited weapons, I have had multiples of the same Model (AGAIN VERY ANNOYING).
Better question is can you get rid of weapons, the answer is NO.
Think about that before you pick up that worn cattleman or those Unique guns (Which YOU CANNOT MOD).
RDOnline yes. Story No.
First thing you should do is to level up until you got a Rolling Block for medium+ preys. Use the Varmint for the small ones. And go hunting Legendary Buck to craft his trinket...the Buck Antler Trinket is a helpful buff/perk that increases the quality of skinned animals, allowing you to get Perfect Pelts much easier.
That's the basis, now, the inventory capacity:
The following animals are considered 'massive' and will be too large to transport:
Alligator
Bear
Bison
Bull
Cow
Elk
Ox
Moose
So, you can only transport ONE of this pelts (just pelts, not carcasses). There is a mod that brings you a hunting wagon so you can avoid this limit. Not bad but still in development (Google it). But did you know you can have three whole horses following you? If you have enough tamed, you can do that too to maximize your earnings on a hunting trip! So you can transport 3 massive pelts!!
When a kill is made, you'll now have the option to transport the carcass away from the site of a kill, but only if they are small enough. The smallest - birds for example - will be transferred to your satchel, while massive ones cannot be moved and will need to be skinned and looted where it was slain.
Body parts taken from an animal that is rare to a respective region will net you 25% more in value when sold to a store in that region, than it would in one where it's common. And if you own the Ultimate or Special Edition of the game, all sales will have a +10% modifier as standard for every part/pelt/carcass you sell. This is automatically active when you redeem the Special or Ultimate edition code.
Skinning technique is the other thing to consider. Large animals, such as bears and horses, require an initial stabbing animation, then a second side-ways cut, and a third and final skinning animation. Large animals take 5–6 seconds to skin. Medium-sized animals, such as wolves and cougars, only require the initial stabbing animation, then the final animation. Small animals, such as rabbits and snakes, are the fastest to skin, needing only the finishing skinning animation. As i said, you can hold a maximum quantity of 99 skins or pelt of each animal (except massive ones) at a time.
The skinning animation renders you invulnerable; predators, such as bears and cougars, will still try to attack, but cannot do damage until it is concluded. Your horse, on the other hand, can still be killed during the skinning animation.
If you want to skin birds, you will bend down and retrieve one or more feathers from a bird carcass, for essentially the same effect. This animation is the same for all birds, regardless of their size or the number of feathers retrieved.
So??? Well, there is a glitch that allows for instant skinning, removing animations and, therefore, saving time. To do this, ride a mount onto the animal so it is directly on the target. Then, dismount, and move until it says "Skin animal". When seeing that, press the "skin" button. The animal will look exactly the same (they will still have its fur, antlers, etc.), but you will gain all the items you would have if you actually 'skinned' it. The animal will, otherwise, function as an already-skinned animal.
This same glitch can be used to loot bodies. However, sometimes just standing directly on the bodies can cause this glitch to happen.
Sometimes, when trying this on large animals, the animation sequence still starts. When skinning the larger animals, one needs to be extra careful about positioning the horse. Try to get it to stand across the belly of the animal.
This exploit is especially useful when in areas where predatory animals (Cougars, Bears, Wolves, etc.) are present.
This glitch can also occur when you are near a horse, without actually riding it first.
About endless inventory: craft satchels in your camp (before chapter 5) and aim for Legend of the East satchel (99 limit for ALL items). After chapter 5 you wont be able to craft them but you can buy them all in the Fence, so suit yourself.
And finally, about weapons... you can buy ALL weapons in the game. You will even get different models of a single weapon (marked with poker symbols to distinguish em). The important thing is that when you are riding your horse (level 1 affinity horse minimum) you will have access to all your weapons. You gotta select what you want in each slot BEFORE jumping down the horse. You can select your active weapons in the weapons store too but not worth it. Fastest way to do it is ridin.
Hope it helps
