Epic games and Steam are publishers.
ok thanks
Can you explain the online? do they constantly add new missions etc? or is it just PVP and is it just boring TDM PVP? or something fun and unique?
If you can buy cheaper at Epic thats the only difference. Non steam still requires Rockstar account and RS game launcher.
Aside from cheaters there is just no life no populations . Online does not have the Story.
Playing Online everything costs gold basically plus its mandatory to find friends to play with in order to complete and progress.
Story is like an amazing living world full of tons of activities stranger missions plus the story of Arthur.
.I kid you not. Just be aware of the difference either way its a brilliant game.
RDR2 was published for Story mode

Jaunitta usually your are very helpful but what you said about online is full of misleading information.
There are players and npcs online. Sometimes you will see players, (usually in towns), other times you won't. Everyone is usually spread out all over the map.
Online has story missions all its own. You will have to do matchmaking to complete these missions as they require two or more players. Sometimes it can be hard to find others to complete these. If you wait until their is a daily to complete a story mission more people tend to queue up for the missions on those days.
Everything does not cost gold. The things you need to start each role cost gold. Some items also cost gold. At first gold will take time to get. Do stranger missions, daily challenges and free roam events. With the events you get gold and money just for participating in them.
Spend your gold first on unlocking the roles, (collector, trader, bounty hunter and moonshiner), the roles will help you get gold and money easier.
It's is absolutely not mandatory to play with friends in order to complete and progress. I've been playing online solo since my character was created and I have all the roles unlocked. I am progressing through the story missions as well.
The R☆ Games Launcher is mandatory for everyone, as that handles the Social Club accounts, peer-to-peer matchmaking, stats and DRM.
