Agreed..whenever I see the message..Cripps has packed up your camp...for no good reason..
As far as locations..in addition to the ones mentioned..Bayou Nwa has lots of gators and birds. good place to load up a hunting wagon.
The Great Plains and the Heartlands can also be good, but you're more likely to have to deal with other players.
The place that you definitely want to avoid though if you're focusing on trader is the two areas in Lemoyne - especially the swamp area. There are some deer in the western portion but not many, and there are no deer in the swamp. And you want to be hunting whitetail deer (bucks preferably) if you want to be the most efficient when hunting for Cripps.

But what fun is efficiency? :p
Also the best source for big game meat.
Alligators are great for big game meat and for the predator challenge, but they're one of the worst things to hunt for Cripps. You actually do better selling their pelts to the butcher than giving them to him. :|
Then. Magically. EVERYWHERE is the best place to have your camp located.
Can't walk 10 feet without finding another animal to feed to the Cripps machine.
If you stand at the Tall Trees moonshine shack (which is where yours should be anyway, its the best spot) and swap your camp back and forth between Tall Trees and Great Plains, it should put it on the foothills/treeline eventually (game will try to pitch it close to where you are).
Both these zones will likely be full (greyed out) though, or it will refuse to put your camp nearby (because those spots are taken). You will have to find new session until you get the spot you want. These are the most popular business spots for a reason.
