selling wagons at the fence

I went to the fence right as the fence closed with a wagon from a bridge ambush. he wouldnt open up, so i went outside and camped, the wagon disappered.

Couple of questions:
1. are some wagons non-sellable?
2. when the fence icon is closed, is wagon selling closed?
3. should i have just drove around with the wagon all night and then came back to sell it?

the first wagon i sold was $40 so it would be worth it.

You should try to drive away until the icon reappears then it might work. As far as I know the fence is open 24/7.

By the way 40 dollars is pretty much nothing. You'll get waaaaaaaay more than that doing missions or side missions. You will need to do a lot of it for some challenges though.

I tried 3 times to get a wagon to the fence but every time two wheels came off on the way. I'm surprised you were able to sell a wagon to him. I've never found him closed.
