No if you only use it in story mode.
but for gold in online?
obviously bannable?

I think devs prevented people from using cheats in story mode.....Since you can´t save the game while using cheats. Pretty much online is the same, though seems like Rockstar won´t ban cheat offenders that easily.

The game does a check on online status, during that, they have an anti cheat detection. If they detect a cheat, they usually try to prevent the game from starting. Most cheats have to bypass this.

The true answer is that until you get detected, you won't be banned from the online and they never stop you from playing the single player. But eventually it will get detected and could cause you to get banned from the online if their software determines it could be used online.

Nope. I later used cheat engine to get 3000 dollar in story. It didnt have any negative impact or anything.

It's a 6 - 7 months old post. I am already done with the game. Nice try idiot. Mock someone else.

Make sure you disable (or it might be safer to delete) any cheats before going online otherwise you'll risk getting a ban. Rockstar pretty much NEVER appeals bans no matter the circumstances.

The first ban is for 30 days, the second ban is permanent.

You will lose ALL character progression after your first ban. I believe they'll return any purchased gold back to your account as if you never spent it.

Edit: Ah! Just read your above comment. Wow! Why was this old post resurrected? o_O

I did. Cheating in single player mode is perfectly fine.
