Wagon full of lumber

So..... I had a guy ask me for help getting some lumber while he and his sons were building a house that I saved from some bandits. I went pelt hunting for a long while and finally got a wagon of lumber from Appleseed Lumber Co.

I then drove it to the house only to find the house completed and the father thanked me and informed me that a farmer had bought the house and the father was moving on.

So, I guess my question is this. I have a wagon full of lumber that I paid $75 for, and now, apparently, he doesn't need it and doesn't make any mention of it, so what can I do with the wagon now?

Edit: While driving the wagon, there is a marker on the map for me to bring it there and they will reward me, but that obviously didn't happen.

It looks like you took too long to get the lumber back to them "I went pelt hunting for a long while". So he probably asked someone else to get him lumber.

Yeah, I figured. I was just wondering if there was something else to do with it.

Would be nice if of the guy had acknowledged it though. I feel like the developer didn’t think someone would take that long to get back.

Yeah, this. Appleseed wanted me to do some killin'*, and then said "We'll be two days" by which time that mini-mission/request was long dead. Shoulda just given the guy the $100 he wanted. :sadface:

Funny thing is, he's still after the lumber but the Appleseed company is gone ... just vanished ... camp's empty ... gone like a fart in the wind ...

Just had this issue with the lumber wagon where the house was already built. :( But my question is: can you sell it to the wagon fence for money...? I did try taking it there, though it’s a long trek, and some bloody O’Driscoll’s ambushed me and killed the horses.
