For anyone who wants to get one of, if not, the best horse in RDR2: When you are in Chapter 2, there will be a mission from Hosea about going hunting with him to kill a legendary bear, which will also unlock stable use. When you get the choice to go back to camp with Hosea, or go and keep tracking the bear, be sure to go back to the camp; you can always hunt the bear later! There are plenty of videos about this on Youtube, but I recommend the tutorial by BlueSamGames. Around the Moonstone Pond area, you should run into a lady whose horse just died, and she will ask if you can take her home to Emerald Ranch. However, there is a slight chance that the horse will be alive when you stumble upon the accident. It took me around 5 tries to discover the horse alive, but be aware this may take well over an hour. I was 21% completion when I got it, and I arrived at Moonstone Pond at around 6:30-7AM in game time. When you first get on the horse, be sure for feed it, and then take it back to the stable in Valentine. Hope that helps!

I got my wonderful horse from a guy that is near the river and panning gold on a sluse.
I seen him occasionally.
He has a really nice Dutch Warmblood really tall horse and Arthur's head is below the saddle height. This guy suddenly turned on me and so I killed him. I was going to sell his horse at the stables but once I realized how tall he was I was hooked so kept him and stored my other horse Appaloosa .
Had him for the rest of game :)

u cant save them in online mode. in singleplayer it is a feature

Hey man, no hard feelings, I was just trying to help the community out. Arabians spook easily while hunting and in gun battles, unlike the MFT. Stats don't lie, and the MFT has the higher stats in speed as well as stamina, and almost mirrors the white arabian in every other category. I respect your opinion, and the white arabian is an awesome horse, but the MFT, though it may be more difficult to get, is my go-to horse for story mode
