Inventory management
I don't know if that's because I'm a pure PC player but I find the way inventory is handled in the game is mightily confusing. I have items on the horse or in the satchel, I don't know how I transfer from one to another and the shortcuts just don't make sense, or the way they are accessed are really cumbersome, like when you want to eat several time a kind of food, you need to access just too many menus.

Really, it shows the game is made for console. Give me an inventory, RPG style and that's it!

The best situation is PC with gamepad attached. Then you have KB/M and pad to use at once.

R* is realy bad at having a userfriendly accesible easy to understand UI, it was all the same in GTA. And the reason can't be that it is designed for consoles, because going 5 layers deep into a menu to make your cart close in a bit on the road, and then 5 button presses to close each layer again, is totally annoying even with a controller.

Another example: my hat falling off in a brawl is NOT creating a new outfit and should not be saved and remove one my saved outfits. This is so counter intuitive.

Ok, so that's not just me. So back to a precise point, I read there and there that the horse can't store items like provisions but I'm pretty sure my horse has some of these items that I don't have when using my satchel...

Are you also confirming that it is not possible to store on the horse provision? And that they thus can't be transferred from the horse to my satchel or the reverse?

Things stored on your horse: horse provisions, horse medicine, weapons, outfits. This stuff will stay on your horse and you cant swap it, except ofc for weapons and outfits.
Everything else is stored in your personal satchels and bags. There is no transferring betweeen those two.

Depending if you play SP or RDO, your satchels can be improved by hunting legendary animals and collecting specific resources and have the trapper build them (single player) or on certain role/profession unlocks (RDO).
