Severe Ghosting Effect on Moving Objects
Is anyone else getting this nasty ghosting effect on anything moving in the game (e.g. horses, ropes, wheels, etc.)? I've tried changing all sorts of settings, such as TAA and Soft Shadows but nothing seems to remove the ghosting effect. Any known solutions to this?

Just turn off soft shadows

Already stated I've tried that. It did nothing and there is still ghosting.

Are you experiencing this in any other games? It might be that you're experiencing monitor ghosting. Try changing a setting in your monitor settings called "response time" or "overdrive" or maybe other settings like contrast.

No I have not experienced this in any other games. My monitor is an LG 34UC89G-B, and is set to the "normal" response time setting. It's definitely ghosting though, as during the first cutscene there are grey outline/shadows surrounding the horses legs. Perhaps my monitor has been ghosting all this time, but I've had it for a while it I certainly haven't noticed it until this game.

What is the result when you change it to the "fastest" response setting?

Yeah I don't think he actually means ghosting, he's likely referring to a shadow or Ambient Occlusion effect that is distracting him.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Personally i´m unsure how helpful it is to post the same solution in a couple of years old threads about the same issues at the same time. Nobody knows if the people who posted here 3 years ago are still alive - or are even remotely interested in this game, let alone solutions for the problems they stated here...

Or are You the one who made that mod and want some downloads now?

It is either TAA ghosting because the AA uses previous frames to counteract jaggies OR it's regular motion blur you have turned on, which creates the illusion of blurriness by adding such ghosting to the image.

No, i looked for the solution quite for a long time and was also reading threw some forums. TAA ghosting or other glitches are happening more and more when you play new games on lower resolution then 4k, often no solution avaiable. And gaming companies don't care at all. So I try to help to spread some helpfull stuff, because I read about many people quitting that great game or try setting up their whole computer or replace all drivers desperately. The solution is not for the ones who already wrote something, it's for people who join now. Like you. I also recommend the nexus anti TAA ghosting mod.

That quote was about that You posted the same link into 5 or 6 old threads simultaneously instead of e.g. open a new thread or choose the newest one. A new thread would address new people better, while some of the OP of the threads You picked already asked how You found that thread and that he even doesn´t know about the problem any more - or wouldn´t care about a solution after 3 years.

If people quit a "great game", because the "gaming company don´t care at all" about certain bugs and glitches - it can´t be that great i guess. And i don´t exactly know why the company should care - if people like You offer an alternative solution to their problems.

Nonetheless ghosting is usually monitor related, as a monitor can just display one picture at a time. It could be software related if the timing of the post processing effect is off - else You have always the choice in having a rendered picture with jagged edges - or some amount of blur. But ghosting is a step further, and i never had problems with it in any game - except for the one time i wanted to try free-sync, which i disabled one minute later and forgot about it. But usually people don´t have a look at monitor settings or how that works, which could be the easier solution to the problem. "Could be." - as i don´t know - as i don´t have the problem. But when someone spams the same link into 6 threads - i perhaps write something.
