Is upgrading camp uselless?
Is it good to upgrade the camp or no? You're only there for a short time, you leave after chapter 2 to new camp. Should I upgrade it more or not? Can I use it later on?

Do upgrades transfer?

I heard it does not matter what you do for the camp. I would like to know this also

As a minimum upgrade Dutch's tent then Arthur's for fast travel. When money is trivial then do the rest. And yes it does transfer to other camps.

Yes once you buy those two upgrades you get a map at Arthurs tent for fast travel to places you have been to before.

The world is so beautiful and your relationship with your horse so cool that i'm never even tempted to fast travel. Plus, add in the fact that some of the neatest things that happen in the game are randomly occurring little short stories that pop up during your travels that you would miss if you were just teleporting around.

With that said, I do recommend fully upgrading the camp. You don't really need to, but it's pretty neat nonetheless.

Basically, everything you do in this game is pointless. You will lose your character and everything you have done after chapter 6 and start with another character for the last two epiloges. I believe you eventually get the money back and maybe the weapons, but you will lose the horse and the camp.

The only worthwhile thing to do is getting the 100% and maybe some steam achievements.

DO NOT READ the user before me. You should even block him for spoiling.

you know i just learned theres a "auto pilot" DONT ATTACK ME but for those who dont know (I use both controller and m&kb) from my control on an xbox one controller hold "A" while holding select for cinematic camera. Im prett sure it will only activate when you are on a road and have a waypoint set. its like pressing "Q" while playing fallout

I can see the appeal of fast travel but doesn't it "kill" the exploration and travelling part of the game a bit ? Is there some restrictions to it that prevents you from using it every time ?

True, i did spoil, but this is a spoiler the player should know about, because most players will most likely not be happy about this outcome. Also, OP basically wanted to spoil himself by asking if upgrading the camp is eventually worthwhile.
