MSI Afterburner - fan speed suggestions?
I have set texture quality to Medium, everything else is low or off. Still reaching to the 55c instantly in areas where clouds and lights (sunrise/sunshine etc even though long shadows are off) happens, when I enter a "normal" weather map it goes down to 47c 'ish, I want this to be in max 45c

What GPU fan speed do you recommend in msi afterburner? %37 is any good to reduce the heat? My MSI afterburner is set to %25 by default minimum, in my main computer its set to %45 by default but thats a gtx 1050 ti. Whats the difference? I mean other than technical stuff, I thought all GPU fans set to %45 by default in afterburner

I have a pretty aggressive fan curve to keep temps below 60C on my Titan X.
If you want to keep temps down then why are you trying to skimp on the fan speed?

Put fan speed at 100% at 50C and 90% at 45C. If it's still not achieving what you want then you might need to increase air flow in your case or get an aftermarket cooler like the Arctic Accelero IV

Fan curve map seems a bit complicated on screen and I do not want to mess too much so I don't set up to %100 in mistake and blow up my fans or worse my graphics card, when there is limited budget I have to take every single caution, sorry if I talk nonsense,

But I will give another shot to the curve thing on msi afterburner, I will let you folks know the results,

It's not complicated at all if you know how to read a graph. Temperature on the X axis and fan speed in % on the Y axis.

Simply click or move a point on the graph to where you want the fan speed to be at that temp. Running 100% fan speed isn't that big a deal. I honestly don't know what you meant by your main computer is set to 45% by default. The only way that's possible is if you set the fan speed % slider in Afterburner manually and left it there

100% fan speed won't kill your card or fans as you won't be running them at 100% 24 hours a day, every day for the next 5 years. Temps above 45C won't kill your card either. The card can handle up to 90C, but it will throttle itself. So my advice to you is either let the card work like it's intended, or set the fan curve you want in Afterburner at the expense of more noise to keep the temps down.

No, not all GPU fans are set to 45% by default. My 980Ti's for example are set to 22% by default.

Increase your fan speed until you reach your target temp. (45c)

Don't set a constant speed. Use a curve and more importantly setup hysteresis so that the fan's not moving up and down the curve constantly. 3 or 4*C hysteresis will get you more stable temperatures and therefore clocks and noise as well.

Set it automatic.

Most cards anything <80C is perfectly fine. With a 1050ti you'll prob never even see 70c.

Set auto and you will see... In most cases works good. And you can see on ingame osd from MSI temp. , rpm, % of fan speed and % of GPU use...
