Rockstar launcher or Steam???
I have been really excited for Red Dead Redemption 2 on pc and especially on Steam. After hearing about all these issues people are experiencing on Steam, im considering buying the game directly from the rockstar launcher (because of: cheaper price, better performance i've heard, etc. Please share your RDR2 experience on pc and which store i should buy it from. Thanks:)

I personally would buy it via launcher because you need the launcher anyway

ATM there are same prices everywhere, maybe different region pricing, but 60 euro everywhere.

I bought it before it came to Steam, I have had none of the issues mentioned in these forums.

Personally I bought it last month on R* launcher.. Just to be CLEAR though I would of liked Steam version better but I knew it would also use the launcher anyway, so it doesn't seem to be much different.

I've not had a single issue with crashing or anything, but do keep in mind I've seen other people mention crashing when just using r* launcher back when it launched, things like issues with crashing seems to vary, I've not had issues myself but clearly a lot of other people are reporting crashing.

But to follow up on what others said, I would just go with r* launcher too that way you don't need two launchers to run one game.

But possibly look into if they have a refund option incase it doesn't work out for you.

I have it on Steam and it runs fine. If you have GTAV then you won't even have to log in, it does it automatically, although the launcher is separate from social club and you'll have to download it. People are complaining about all kinds of crazy ♥♥♥♥, and yet plenty of people are playing with 0 issues.

Rockstar all the way. Apart from launch day, there have been zero problems with it.
Steams tin-can launcher, can be trusted. It's a diabolical mess.

I bought it via rockstar launcher. I have Intel Xeon 1231, MSI GTX-970, Windows10x64, 10/3 MegaByte/s internet connection, SSDs only, and 16 GB RAM. I had only one crash until now.

In my opinion, you should save he game frome time to time. It's huge and bugs may occur.

pricing is the same right now so maybe buy it on steam if you care about steam achivements. You could also ask for a refund in 2 hrs if you don't like it.

Launcher launches and closes itself with Steam.

Pretty much a no-brainer which one not to choose

At least Steam allows refunds.
