IMPORTANT for MOUSE & KEYBOARD Users (Fight against AIMBOT)

It is important for every M&K User:

If you play RDR Online, you will face players with controllers!
This means, those players have a build in AIMBOT (and a crazy strong one)! I am not kidding! Search in Youtube to see their crazy advantages!

How can you change that? There is a free aim option, so!
Go in the game (storymode), go to settings, controls, controller options (weird, I know) and change the Lock-On mode to FREE AIM.

Now you will join a free aim server only when playing online!

Why do I tell you this? Because it was really frustrating playing against aimbotters. You basically could not play pvp. And since most players dont know this setting, the servers are often pretty empty.

Please spread the word and help populate those servers!

there is nothing strange about this, and its nothing new either... this is exactly the same as gta 5 worked.

This is exactly the same as in GTA. If i enable the Auto assist being it Partial or Full. I cannot join other people in GTA that are not using the Auto assist feauture,not even in Pve missions. But do you really want to alienate yourself and limit the amount of people youre able to play with ? As in GTA it has its ups and down,Auto Assist is definetely not always better in every scenario. I actually prefer MK but controller is just much more chill to play with.

With the mouse i aim so fast that i feel its alot easier to HS then with controller. I dont see it as any issue. U WIN some and loose some battles.

its the same situation in GTAO and i'Ve played gtao fro 250 hours with controller and i always, despite the aim assist, had massive disadvantages against mounse/keyboard players.

then i switched to mouse/keyboard for the past 200 hours and it feels like another world. if you have at least a bit of skill with mouse/keyboard you will kill the aim assist controller player before he makes the second shot (and the aim assist always focuses on the middle part of the body and not the head so you will always win against an aim assist controller player

Uhm, alright then. My mates and I are pretty good at shooters, but thanks for your input here, mate! I am sure, you must know it best. Btw you can use the aimassist to directly flick to the head (with some practice). Youtube is your friend...
