Bought the game but Rockstar launcher says I dont own it

As the title suggests, I bought the game via Steam but when opening it, the Rockstar launcher says that my profile doesnt have the game. I dont have any other Rockstar profiles, does anyone know a fix?

I uninstalled the rockstar launcher, verified the game through steam, launched via steam and it reinstalled the launcher. I then opened the launcher from my desktop and signed in. It now shows I own RDR2. However I cannot launch it from either Steam or R* launcher without it erroring.

my R* account shows I own it... The launcher shows I need to buy it again...

I had to do this before I refunded the game to get it to launch:

1) Delete C:\ProgramData\Rockstar Games\Launcher\ folder with its contents.
2) Open Rockstar Launcher.
3) Wait for Launcher to initialize.
4) Press Play within Steam.
5) If it crashes, click Retry, which will fail.
6) Press Play within Steam.
7) RDR2 launches and reaches main menu. Maybe.

I gave in and refunded. Will buy again once they sort out the bugs.

Well i am stuck with no sollution, you can't exaclty refund a game if you played it for over 160 hours.

is the launcher you are using.. the one that steam downloads after you start the game up? or did you download it yourself from rockstar?

the issue will be fixed but it sucks that one update just ♥♥♥♥♥ everything up
