[FYI] ASUS Sonic Studio breaks Rockstar Launcher
Just for your information, maybe it will help you.

I have ASUS Strix Raid DLX sound card and Sonic Studio v 1.1.21 installed.
It seems Rockstar Launcher can't work properly when the sonic studio process launched. ("Unable to launch the game, please verify your game data" error message appears at game launch). Force disabling of Sonic Studio solved my issue.

DAMN I just discovered it few hours ago and was comming here to tell it to everyone !!! I'm just so happy to finally solve my Rockstar launcher crash... Small Tips: the Sonic Studio must be off just when you launch the game, but can be restarted once the game is running... I tried to update to the latest version of Sonic Studio but it doesn't change anything...

Same here. I have Asus Strix sound card. I found it yesterday but wasnt sure it was really THE problem. Guess it was

Sonic Studio breaks a lot of stuff, it's not advised that you enable the overlay features.

Special K has an automated fix for this, by the way.

Confirming this one as well: had no idea why the game wasn't launching at all until I tried uninstalling my Realtek audio drivers, which coincidentally stopped Sonic Studio. It also prevented sound working on Unity games as well (guessing it came from latest Windows update)

Personally, I'm never used overlay feature (Sonic Radar). Only Sonic Studio to change outputs and equalization.

What is "Special K"?
