The game ist not show as buyed, but the game starts.
i didnt, i have the one account, it shows my gta v so im sure its the one and only account i have and use.
this sucks... what do they need to help me?
i needed to do this to have the damn thing even launch haha!
Yeah talk to rockstar support.
i did, they could not help after like 2 hours of wasted attempts, how did you contact them just to be sure?
After you have done that buy the game again and manually link it to steam on your new social club account, you lost all your online games on the old because rockstar does not allow you to use more social club accounts than one, they literally told me to make a new steam account like their accounts is more important than a 15 year old steam account lol.
I spent hours in their live chat and no result, Rockstar still lives in the stoneage where all games are bound to the link instead of the account, that way they can drag more money out of you by forcing you to buy new games.
Here is their answer if you refuse to believe it.
I've reviewed your account thoroughly and see that you have a GTAV game on your Steam account. Please be informed, the entitlements to play GTAV are tied to both the Social Club and Steam account. These accounts must remain linked or you will not be able to play GTAV or GTA Online with either of these accounts.
We suggest you to purchase the new game on your New Steam account since you've already requested for a refund on the current Steam account. Because unlinking the current Steam account will make you lose the GTAV game on your account.
If you still want to unlink the current Steam account from your old Social Club account, please get back to us with the confirmation that you understand that unlinking the accounts will result in being unable to play GTA Online as well as GTAV with either of these accounts.
I don't own the game on steam YET, but there are a few forum through the forums about this problem.
You go here https://support.rockstargames.com
and contact them by logining into your social club account.
I decided to keep the game on rockstar social club only and never buy their games again, this is 2019, problems like this should not exist still.
I wouldn't unlink the accounts. I would suggest you refrain from opening your wallet towards them in the future.
I already did that and lost GTA, but can you see my point they think that social club is more important than steam, i would never start a new steam account, social club needs to start offering the option to link several accounts or make games attach to the account itself, ubisoft for example they allow you to link one uplay account to each game as you desire, online only is absolutely no excuse for this crappy system, they lost 60$ because i wanted to support them and in return their social club only allows me one account.
Why would i want 2 rdr copies on the same account, it's just stupid.
I lose nothing other than my valuable time, i just go back to my old rdr 2 account and play there, but they lost 60$ if not more to their account linking system, i did my part to make it work.
Did you play GTA online? I played GTA V only in online and the would have been a lot lost for me.
