Transfering the game from Rockstar Launcher to Steam
Hello, Rockstar, I did not know that the game would be on steam, if I did I would of waited to buy the game, but I bought the ultimate eddition of the game before the game got released. I downloaded the Rockstar Launcher to play Red Dead Redemption 2 because I enjoyed it on the Xbox and I don't have friends added to the that launcher, yet, because I did not know it will be on Steam. Now that I see the game is on steam can I transfer the game to Steam or something so I don't have to buy the ultimate eddition again. Rockstar please reach out to me.

I actually bought it on Rockstar Launcher and been playing. Im willing to buy it again on Steam.. if I can transfer my progress. Does anyone know if the cloud save for Single Player will transfer over to the Steam version? I mean it has to launch through Rockstar Launcher anyways right and fire up Rockstar Social club where my progress is saved. Anyone know?

There official announcement stated that RGS/EPS were both getting it for a month then steam releasing afterwards. It's not their fault you don't research.

Lies

It's literally on their official announcement for it coming to PC.

Stop lying

"Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to purchase on Steam this December."

One reason they should let us do so is so we can post real reviews to counter all the lying and toxicity.

You should have done a bit more research before buying it, It is a shame but that's just how it is, unless you buy the game again maybe you don't even need to buy the ultimate edition just the normal one and link it to your rockstar account and maybe it will use your old one, but yea, I don't think it's worth the money just to have it on steam. It was announced it would be on steam a month later otherwise I would have done the same thing you did If I hadn't have known but I did. Better luck next time.
