Can you transfer RDR2 from the Rockstar Launcher to this?
I bought this game on release, somehow missing that it was coming to Steam. Any way to bring it over, or am I stuck with their launcher?

well, I guess that's what I get for not waiting

Oh that's pretty lame, I bought in on the Launcher because everyone was implying it'd never come to Steam and Rstar launcher was the only way to play. It there even an advantage to playing it on steam besides maybe getting some 'trading cards' after you buy it? I just like having all my games relegated to the one launch platform.

steam has to use their launcher too. in addition to a host of bugs and glitches

Everybody knew it came to Steam. Rockstar was VERY clear about that in their statement.

No, you did exactly what they wanted you to do.

True that.

you are stuck with their launcher either way even on Steam. Bought on epic, waited 10 days, refunded, their (rockstar) launcher wasnt playing nice with other launchers and the game would not start, i'm gonna wait a year and get it on special or free on one of my subs if im lucky. Game looks amazing, but like a lot of rockstar games they take a while to actually work on PC.

All you get is Steam achivements ,there is no Steam cards !

Also, when the game got announced for PC to be released, R* Clearly stated it the game will be released on Steam Month later after R* and Epic premiere.

Yes, just click on "Add Non-Steam game to my library" then click Red Dead 2. Either way you still have to use the Rockstar Launcher.

Will I still get achievements if I add the game to my library even though it's on R* launcher?

Steam version is still using Rockstar launcher, however like with Uplay and Origin they both launch without intervention from the user, which I prefer than having to manually launch other launchers

To be fair, they are a bunch of scammers. They never said it would come to steam, in fact they implied their aim was to from now on release games on their own launcher only to release it not even a month later

I'm done with rockstar's bs.

Sure, other's do it but they are very clear on it and don't suddenly release it on steam a month after release, some of the others also give others copies to other launchers.
