anti aliasing Looks like blurry garbage
Other games do it better with their anti aliasing. I hate the ghost effect with TAA and FXAA just blurs the game and MSAA is just broken. It's impossible to make this game look good at 1080p.. why is this???

The difference is night and day. Right now I'm using TAA on medium, FXAA and MSAA off, Resolution Scale on 1.250 (I play on a 1080p screen), and last but not least Nvidia Filters (press ALT F3 in game to access). I use 2 filters: Sharpening and Details. Turn in-game TAA Sharpening to 0, open Nvidia Filters and add Sharpening Filter: 20% sharpening, 15% ignore film grain. Then add the Details Filter: 20% sharpening, 30% Clarity, HDR and Bloom on 0%. AND BOOM!

Test it out and let me know if this helped. If anyone wants comparison screenshots of my game let me know.

because of tons of reasons

you have a antic gpu from 2016, let's say a gtx 1070.

it gives 70 75 fps at 1080p high settings in this game.

and they don't want that. they don't want you to enjoy graphics with such an ancient gpu.

same for rx 570 580. you bought a cheap and powerful gpu to game your way at 1080p? big no no no. here's a vaselined 1080p looking like an actual 540p game. now do enjoy your game.

greed and capitalism, welcome them.

FXAA is literally a blur filter. Turn it off.

i have a GTX1080 strix, i totally have a different xp. for one FXAA does not blurr the view and TAA does "UNLESS i set the sharping bar to full". i play on most High setting with one on ultra and that's textures, i really can't play on high with that game looks dull then, detail of most textures are just gone on high setting. this all said i have a steady 60FPS in game day and night everywhere! could have more but i don't know i lock the fps to 60, no point in going above that when you have a 60hz monitor.

this game is a crapshoot when it comes to performance and quality of picture. i'v seen higher end pc's not get 60fps with far worse picture quality then lower spec pc's, its so un-logic i have no idea how bad the coding of this game really is. anyways i'd say keep of tweaking and testing you get it right eventually.

I honestly sent this message as to this day I hadn't found decent settings that I'm happy with in terms of quality that can be seen. There was either too much aliasing, too much blur, sharpening artifacts, or it tanked my fps. This message I sent was because I finally found a balanced "sweet-spot", and I wanted someone else to be able to enjoy it as well.

I did some tweaking with the settings and leaving the TAA sharpening at 1/4 of the way has the best result with minimal ghosting. I've been using Reshades and sharpening tools to help and pushed the games Res to 1.250. Overall, It's not as bad as it used to be. you just have to tweak it for hours intill you find the sweet spot.

Works well except for the fact that the resolution scaling makes you lose 10 FPS which I can't afford

I completely understand. Those other setting improve the image with or without the resolution increase. I just mentioned the res increase because it makes it EVEN better. But, try it at your native resolution and you'll have almost no performance loss.

Thanks. Even though your method looks great, I feel it looks pretty similar to TAA medium + TAA sharpening on 3/4 full.

Am I wrong or is there a big Image quality improvement using your method?
