I don't play RDRO yet, so it could be some nice info to understand for later when go see for myself. Is maby why some people only rage-quit when they get killed and just don't know this response for it?
Ah, thank you.
So, by how much goes the bounty up?
The only thing I know about that hostility thing is that it forces you into offensive mode, until you "calm down" and don't attack people for some time.
And it makes you more visible on the map, bigger radius.
Is there an actual guide for the whole system somewhere?
The only thing I can find is about the defensive mode, which seems more and more flawed, the longer I look at it.
Yeah, I just tested this with somebody.
It actually opens up a play area if you accept the feud, you have a timer and scoreboard, and the winner gets a "Feuds won" for one of the competitive awards.
So, there is a reason to look for feuds.

They can't hurt you and you can't hurt them either. BUT you can get in their way and block shots aimed at other players. You can bump into them with your horse (and knock them off edges). You can also crash into their horse as well.
Dynamite and explosive arrows will knock you (and dismount), but it will not hurt you. You can even get them to kill them self with their own explosives. And fire bottles. And toxic moonshine.
It helps to actually read the sources one posts beforehand, because there is nothing about online gameplay in this manual, except for mentioning some features.
I haven't read it entirely, thus I couldn't definitively say if the relevant info you seek is in there.
