Main Menu is not loading
Hey fellows.
Before steam published the new update a couple of weeks ago, the game worked unproblematically. I did the update and the game suggested to update the video drivers as well. Thus, I did this immediately. However, the game starts I see the typical reloading shotgun intro and the epilepsy warning but when it comes to displaying the main menu all I see is the endlessly turning yellow revolver cylinder in the bottom right corner of the screen. Is there anyone familiar with that issue and has already found a solution?

Thanks in advance guys.

Rightclick RDR2 properties>local files tab validate game files.
test launching.

if it doesnt auto update after exit steam fully exit rockstar using taskmanager.
relaunch

Maybe update Rockstar
click on download for windows.

If you persistantly have a problem roll the drivers back for your gpu .
are you playing story or online those drivers are for online no need to install their patched version if your playing story.
Just update them via nvidia to the latest for your gpu. Its not the same version as the one Rockstar provides.
Steam didnt publish any new updates for rdr2 that was a patch from Rockstar.

There's new nVidia drivers, version 442.50, that was just recently released.
If you've not yet done so, try installing that, restart your computer after the install, then see if that resolves the issue with your RDR2 game.

If it's still not working, here's something else you could try;

With the RockStar Launcher closed / not running, in Windows explorer, navigate to:
C: > Users > YourUserName > Documents > Rockstar Games
Rename the Settings folder to something else, example, "SettingsOld" (alternatively you could delete everything within the Settings folder there, but in renaming it you keep it as a backup just in case).

Now, run the RockStar Launcher and try to launch the Red Dead Redemption 2 game. That Settings folder should be recreated (or if you removed or renamed the files within that Settings folder, the according files should be created).

Good luck.
