What? I THOUGHT THERE WERE TINY ANIMALS AND COWBOYS LIVING IN MY COMPUTAH BOX!
Another slightly faster but still slightly terrible thing to see. When I had to go bad rep and stay bad rep, I would murder someone on the road, loot them, then find their horse steal from the saddle bags and then kill the horse. To save ammo I used hatchets. When you hit the horse with the hatchet they collapse and struggle for a brief moment, but it still looks oh so wrong.
Seriously, try the goat.
The cougar was bad already, like a ♥♥♥♥♥cat dying, but those damn cougars maul me to death so many times, it's okay.
A goat (at emerald ranch or so, definitely in story mode) screams like crazy, and it takes really long, you just gotta hear that for yourself.
I wonder what the sound guys were thinking when creating those sounds.
"Hmm, do you think the poison death baaaargh of the Alpine goat is terrifying and haunting enough?"
i will never forget the sounds of knife only leveling rooms in metal gear online 2. just endlessly painful death screams again and again. levelling the knife to max level took about maybe 11 hours in one of those rooms. i maxed knife on 4 toons. how many death screams per minute in a room with 16 people partnered up stabbing each other for 20 minutes at a time, and repeating. alot of screams thats how many. when i hear an animal i mortally wounded wailing off in the forest somewhere i think of that room.
rofl ^
And I am happy that others feel the same.
I am pretty sure, if a player is killing like that, listen to the sound, and unable to feel bad at least once (even it's only a game), that's a sign that he/she is a psychopath.
Video games are carefully designed to elicit emotional responses from people...that's why they are so successful. If you haven't been titillated by a sexy npc, thought a cute wittle bunny wabbit was adorable, been revolted by scenes of carnage, etc. then I'm afraid I would have to agree with joyboard's comment above...there's something missing.
Now you know that is not the case.
