My Steam wallet is ready to buy, but these horrific reviews tell me this isn't a good idea.

So what is the current state of Red Dead 2? I know online is a s**tshow, and I have no plans on playing that anyway.

And no, I don't have a potato PC.

- GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Hybrid
- Intel Core i7-7700K (4.8 GHz but could go higher)
- DDR4 32GB Corsair Vengance
- SSD Samsung 850 EVO 1TB (main storage for games)
- Drivers updated (bios, cpu, gpu)

I've been lucky. The P2P is what sucks. IF your on with someone with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connection I mean worse than mine It drags everyone else down. Good Luck bud. I vote Buy IT and I promise you won't regret it. From a 45 year old gamer...

I have the same specs as you, except I have a regular 1080. Single player runs beautifully.

The single player is great and your hardware MORE than meets the requirements to put ALMOST everything on ultra. Online does have cheaters but I enjoy it off and on. As far as all the "bugs" I crash once and a while just like every game but I have never experienced any inability to log in (if their servers are up. they have gone down ONCE since last December). I do believe you need an internet connection to rockstar to play even singleplayer so keep that in mind. I hope a decent response from an adult with 650+ hours in game helps.

I suggest you wait for a sale, and if it still doesn't work out. Refund and never look back. But to tell you the truth, the story is really good if you're fascinated with the old west, cowboys, horses, steam trains and gunslingers. But if not, better keep your hard earned money and wait for a huge steam sale to grab other titles.

Speaking of bugs, yeah it has a fair share of bugs both online and offline, in my case I experienced some random crashes after I updated to the latest drivers, and I'm using a GTX 970. You have a very good setup for a 1080p Ultra High RDR2 experience. Good luck mate.

Oh I forgot, I bought the game directly on R* game launcher.

Are you into a lot of action and quick paced gameplay? Then fortnite is for you.
You like it slow? This. People moan its to realistic and slow, like picking up items one by one with grab animation included.(actually one of the main complains that i find fine) Also the bugs at launch.
Other then that its a great game, SinglePlayer wise. Online is cool as well but one heck of a grind.

Buy it and try it. If you hate it you can steam refund. Dont wait too long there is a time limit to that.

I have the 6GB version of the card and updated to the latest driver for it. Before I updated I had a fair amount of intermittent freezes in single player when using the Vulkan video option.
I would recommend making sure you have the latest driver for your card before playing.

In my opinion single player is worth every penny and more..I think you will love it.

Buy...buy and buy...might be the best game you ever byed.....i have a crappy computer. Upgraded my GF card just for this game...still crashes....but i save like every 5 minutes. This is an amazing game! In every aspect....amazing story, graphics, voice acting and so on...worth every dollar!
