Fraudulent or misleading
I know that Rockstar does not go here. But I am pretty much PI$$ED with Rockstar right now.

They have been practicing misleading boarder line fraudulent.

Long story short: They Rockstar in one of the Newsletter. Stated that if you found all 54 playing cards that it unlocks the collectors bag for free.

https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/61105/Collect-Hidden-Cards-in-GTA-Online.

It clearly states and I quote: As an added bonus, anyone who successfully obtains all 54 Playing Cards in GTA Online will unlock the Collector's Bag for free in Red Dead Online along with a unique variant of the Cardenas Poncho. In order to receive these bonuses you'll need to have linked both your Red Dead Online and GTA Online accounts at the Social Club.

However after several replys from support. I was told that is was for Console user ONLY. Ihave read the newsletter and reread it. Not once did it state expiration date nor that it was for Console only.

What I am asking for you all to do. If this happened to you where you collected all 54 playing cards in GTA 5 Online. Did not get the free collectors bag. (like promised) Flood Rockstar support demanding they honor what they promised. For those that was sucker into paying the 15 gold, demand it to be returned. They, Rockstar mislead a whole community of PC gamer's into thinking if they did something in return for something and that they never intended on doing.

they don't care, vote with your wallet and stop buying their games, in the end they will care but also will be to late probably.

Pretty sure this offer came out before PC version was even released.... But I see your point.

Not one mention about console only and a time frame. Very misleading.

With stats like this players are speaking with their wallets. I can find lots of little bugs that can be very annoying but over all it doesnt stop the desire to play again.
November 8, 2019 Red Dead Redemption 2's sales numbers have topped 26 million.

If that was written before the PC version came out then while I certainly see your point, that is not a simple example of "fraud".

People online cry "fraud" a lot. Fraud would require a false statement or deception meant to result in gain. If that was written before the PC version existed and the intent was console users only since that's all that existed, then at the time it was written there could be no fraud. Rockstar should of course in that case honor the offer NOW if it forgot to remove those references.

What you'd instead have here is the same thing that happens when a retailer doesn't honor an offer it made let's say, in a newspaper ad, such as "buy one get one free", and a typo made the offer valid past a certain cut-off date- it was printed that the offer was made. People typically don't file "fraud" charges over it. They make the retailer understand the offer was and is valid.

The nature of an online business such as a game developer makes explaining to them difficult. But that too doesn't make this a fraudulent scenario. And while threat of an actual lawyer may make them understand, are you ready to pay for that out of your pocket? Or to see if your "fraud" claim is worthwhile? And then of course they may use their own lawyers to claim you defamed them.

I'm not saying "tough, live with it". I'm saying find out some facts and details.

My point is that it is clearly states that if you find the 54 playing cards that it unlocks the collectors bag in RdR2. They should have put a disclaimer that it was for Console. Instead of putting it also on the splash screen while you logged into GTA 5 online (PC). All the time knowing they was not going to honor it. (I have screen shots.)

This is the article:

https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/61105/Collect-Hidden-Cards-in-GTA-Online

Alongside the opening of The Diamond Casino & Resort in GTA Online, 54 individual hidden playing cards were scattered across Southern San Andreas. In addition to receiving casino Chips and RP for every card found, acquiring the full card set will get you the High Roller Outfit and a unique Playing Card Set at your Private Dealer's table (requires Private Dealer upgrade).

If you need a little help tracking down any of the cards, our friends over at longtime and dedicated fan channel GTA Series Videos have put together this useful guide, which includes time stamps for each card in the video's comment section.

As an added bonus, anyone who successfully obtains all 54 Playing Cards in GTA Online will unlock the Collector's Bag for free in Red Dead Online along with a unique variant of the Cardenas Poncho. In order to receive these bonuses you'll need to have linked both your Red Dead Online and GTA Online accounts at the Social Club.

Anyone who has already proved their collecting chops and grabbed the full deck (and linked both accounts at Social Club) will have the Collector's Bag available for free when the Red Dead Online update launches on September 10.

Where does it give the disclaimer for console and expiration date? The only thing they state is that both games got to be linked.

I stumbled onto that page the other day when I was looking for something else... No expiry date listed, and certainly no mention that it's console only... And the page is still there, still saying it.

Are the cards still there in GTA? If so, I think I'll give their next few games a miss. Their ability to make games that work properly, and string sentences together to correctly describe them is going down the toilet.

Under common law, three elements are required to prove fraud: a material false statement made with an intent to deceive (scienter), a victim's reliance on the statement and damages. A material false statement. ... Your job is to help the attorney determine whether the claim constitutes fraud.

so what they forget to rephrase (for consoles only) since it came to pc that is not fraud but misinformation

Anyone with a brain would know it was for consoles

What you showed was the newsletter for Console.

Here is the newsletter for PC.

And the one I linked is the more recent announcement of the two.
