Buying gold bars with Steam wallet
What are the steps for buying gold bars in game with money in my Steam wallet?

While playing RDR2, if you open up the rockstar overlay with the HOME key and select the store, you should have the option to buy gold bars. It takes the money from your steam wallet. So, if you don't have money in your wallet, it takes you to steam to add money to your wallet and then finishes the transaction once the money is in your wallet. I would think that if you already have the money in your wallet, it would just take the money from your wallet, but the one time I bought gold bars, I didn't have the money in my wallet, so I don't know exactly what it does in that case.

why would you buy gold, just play i'm at 93 gold bars i have no idea what to do with and i'v spend like 100 gold bar already.

i don't get why, but to be on topic, if you have the money in your wallet, and your steam account is linked to the R* account is normaly just a case of buying gold bars and picking the steam wallet option. if that's not your case, i suggest R* support instead of this forum.

Once you buy gold in game you automatically switch to normal steam transaction menu.

just buy the gold, it'll take you to steam transaction screen and it'll give you option to use steam wallet or otherwise.

That's right, I already have the money in my Steam wallet. How do I transfer that into in game gold?

That just takes me back to purchasing from Rockstar. I already did that. It put the money in my Steam wallet.

Wait. So you bought this game from Rockstars site?

If so, not happening.

yea how do you start this game, from R* launcher or from steam? if you did not buy this game on steam then your steam wallet is useless.

I bought the game from Steam. When I went into the store, in game, it took me to the Rockstar site to buy the gold. Then it put the money in my Steam Wallet. The Steam wallet says you can buy in game with this money. How do I do that?

Sigh* OK, I will try that. But I'm afraid it will just charge me twice the amount because that's how I got the money in the wallet in the first place.

When I bought my gold bars using the in game interface, at check out it took me straight to the transaction page which was the actual Steam overlay where i finalize purchase of my other steam titles and it gave me the option of payment method.

if money is in your steam wallet, select that option and it'll deduct the difference if any and you pay the balance with whatever else you prefer.

worked without a hitch...

OMG, that worked!! Thank you so much Eminem! I was worried because this was a gift from a relative and I didn't want to charge to his credit card twice. Thanks again!
