Bounty poster disappearing after trying to enter Tumbleweed?

I keep trying to do the bounty poster in tumbleweed, but when I get near the town, the poster just dissappears! I AM NOT WANTED! I have paid all of my fines and have even went to the post office to check....no fines to pay,,,nothing! What is causing this? I heard if you have a bounty on you you cannot do bounty missions....but I have no bounty so I cannot figure out what is causing this????

Whats your karma (honor level) at? You can't do bounties while you have negativ karma.

I have excellent honor and as far as I know, I have never had bad honor only good....

I don't know if your honor level affects your ability to do bounties, but even if it did, I would expect that the game would tell you that you couldn't take any bounty posters due to that rather than making them disappear. It already won't let you take bounties sometimes due to how recently you've done one, and it does that with a message, not by making the bounty posters disappear. I expect that it's a bug. I think that some other folks here were complaining about posters disappearing on them, so maybe you can find something useful by searching through older posts, but I don't know.

Depending on what's going wrong, support _might_ be able to fix it for you. They're apparently to fix some issues by messing with your account, but I don't know if they can do anything in this case or not.

I remember when I first went to Tumbleweed the sheriff was executing someone in the street outside the jail, he said something about how that's the way the Law is in this part of the country and If I had a problem with it then I should just walk away but if not I could follow him inside.

Went inside and he mentioned the bounties and I was able to do them. I have absolutely no idea if taking part in that little event is required before you can do the bounties but that's just how it went down in my game.

Have you tired talking to the sheriff when he's out yelling about the Law? might kick off a similar "you can help by go getting these bounties" thing.

That is another thing that is weird....I see NO SHERIFF! I saw him earlier out preaching....but now he is not in the town!

Well one thing rockstar suggested was to check my game files integrity....and after that...I could go to the jail and not have the crazy poster dissappear. So I was able to do a couple of bounties in tumbleweed until the sherriff said there w3ould be no more bounty posters there for awhile. How do you find out if you have done the max number of bounties?
