Has anyone been able to complete the Sharpshooter challenge where you need to hit someone at 660 feet?

My render distance doesn't seem to go out far enough. I'm trying the tried and true method at Fort Briggs, but as soon as I get to the spot, the guy in the fort un-renders.

1. Has anyone been able to do this

and

2. Does anyone know the setting that affects render distance? This port is awful so most of my graphics settings are set to minimum

I've done it, yes. The good thing about this challenge is that if you don't make it, the challenge window will tell you what the distance of your previous shot was.

I looked in settings but I didn't see draw distance anywhere. Maybe I missed something.

I just turned up all the graphics and did it. Not sure which setting actually turned up the draw distance
