love the game but time passes too quickly
It's morning, no it's late afternoon, oops, night again. It'd be nice to be able to go to real time and enjoy the day.

the short days make travel feel big and long and the world feel huge, like people say just getting to another "state" takes a full day :P.

but from the persepctive of the player its far too fast.

and yea there are mods and the trainer can set a time of day.

yeah, it's way too fast. I'm not sure why it has to be so fast. Especially since night is so immersion breaking with NPCs still acting like it's daytime during missions and such.
Yeah, its way too fast. By the time I ride out and do one or two things its just about nightfall again. Even if they had something like 4 real time hours being day time and at least 3 hours being night time and so fourth would still be far better than the way it is now.

By the time I'm done tending to everything, ready to pack out, It's already night again.
Constantly setting up camp to get back to "I Can See Again O'Clock".

Really hope Rockstar doesn't pull more gta moves, sabotaging the offline mod community with all their mod breaking updates, all because they're busy aggressively pushing the OnLinE Grind. :apafrog:

Think about it like this, a lot of the activities you do in the game are condensed. In real life hunting/foraging for plants takes hours, the distances between locations is also much closer since this is a game and shoot outs could last a long time as well. So to compensate the day/night cycle has to be shorter so you aren't able to do an unrealistic amount of things in one day.

Also, plenty of stuff wouldn't work very well if the game time happened in real time. Some stuff has to be done at night or during the day, and it would suck to have to wait hours for that to happen. And you sure wouldn't want stuff like sleeping to happen in real time. I've never seen a game that had time pass at anything like the real rate at which time passes. It just isn't practical for a game. It could be argued that maybe time should pass more slowly than it does in RDR2, but it wouldn't work as a game if in-game time wasn't much faster than real time.

Bruh, not sure you understand what they are talking about.
It's the the time system (12h system with am and pm/24h system where there's no am and pm)
They are talking about the day/night cycle going too fast

Okay got it now, europe time or usa time.

AFAIK, one day in the game lasts 48 minutes in realtime.

IIRC, there was in fact a bug where time ran too fast, redulting in super fast core draining.
But to my knowledge they have fixed that issue.

I thought I saw a mod that changed this but maybe I'm wrong? Look around on the nexus, see if you find something.

You mean the longer days mod. Is still on Nexus.

The Day/Night cycle is tied to your fps in single player at least. So is hunger, cores etc...Basically the game is designed to run at 30fps and anything above results in the above things being stupidly fast.By chapter 2 my Arther was malnourshed for example.

There is a mod to fix the day/night cycle but it doesn't fix hunger rate.Expect you and your horse to be nearly dead from morning to midday if you don't eat every 10mins.

Thought it would be fixed by now but it don't look like it ever will be
