No Animal symbols on map in RDO?

Everytime, I log into a new session of RDO, all animal symbols on the map are gone.
I can "rediscover" them again, but if I change sessions, they're gone.

Didn't have this problem in Singleplayer, is this a bug or a weird Red Dead Online Setting that I didn't get or what?

I think its online only. its the same with herbs. When you switch a session all that info on the map is gone.
