Whats the point of having a Saloon?

Like title says whats the point? there nothing to do there? the band only plays 1 song? the people in the bar do nothing and seem to drink for free? No one ever want to come to ya bar because there NOTHING to do?? No pool No cards No hookers there just nothing and it makes you nothing?? am I missing something here?

no thats it. Rockstar couldnt think of something better to spend your money on so they created this uselss 900bucks bar with a additional 800 for band.

the band actually has more than one song. as long as the christmas/snow event goes on, they just keep playing their jingle bells remix. other than that, I agree. they should at least add the minigames like poker, blackjack, domino etc.

Yeah it’s pretty pointless. They definitely should add some mini games. Even a dart board if it even existed back then. Definitely a poker table.

When you have daily challenges like "Drink your own moonshine" and "Play with the band for 2 minutes" earning 0.5 gold bars each time its easy to see the how having these thing is beneficial in the long term.

Apart from that I agree the bar is a wasted opportunity for fun content on the developers behalf. It would be nice if the NPCs paid to drink. And we could have had customer requests for recipes for them as well as for deliveries.

The Moonshine role is a pretty good and predictable income stream, and between that and Trader, one is soon awash in money with few options to spend it. The bar in the moonshine shack is just one of these cosmetic things to spend that extra cash. I don't mind, either - it's not like I don't have enough clothes or weapons already.

I do agree with the poker table thing, though, that would have been really cool to have my own in my own bar.

I got all excited thinking it was an actual saloon lol. Well, that's kind of cool you can have a bar though.

I only got it for the dailies plus if you are making a three star batch go to your bar and drink a cup o moonshine and it will give you a buff. Eat the almonds to max your health core and drink the coffee for your stamina and dead eye i dont buy food anymore for this reason.

Only get saloon for last big purchase when you have money to burn.

Perks...
-Bar drinks give you buffs
-Free coffee machine
-Free almonds
-Band music
-Some of your easiest daily's will be part of the saloon (dance, play music with band, change bar decor, etc) EZ Gold <-----so it eventually pays for itself + profit

Slapping your friends and visitors is great fun and totally worth the $900.

Do it while standing next to a chair, and it's the closest to a bar brawl that you can get in this game.
