Red Dead Online, what is best way to farm animal fat?

i had been selling all my animal fat because it wasn't used in any of my recipes until i bought explosive express pamphlet, now i need 1 animal fat per explosive bullet. i tried farming livestock cows but they didn't drop any fat so far.

anyone know best ways to farm animal fat online??

edit: as Vyrex explained, there is a lake directly above Emerald Ranch/Station Fast Travel point and often you can find TONS of ducks and geese near the waters of this lake. each duck or goose can be skinned for 1 animal fat... there are other methods for easy farming, but that particular area is usually the most efficient place to farm. also, Paint-It-Black is not even necessary if you have unlocked dual-wielding and have fast fire-rate pistols/revolvers to mow them down with before they fly away.

Above emerald ranch theres a lake and there usualy camps a group of 5 ducks around just PIB them all 5 since quality doesnt matter anyway. But any lakes works tho there usually will always some group of ducks hanging around.

PIB = Paint It Black (an ability card for online-mode)

i have since noticed that there is at least one pen that can be full of pigs at Flatneck Station (with no NPCs around to witness animal cruelty), and 2 pens that can be full of pigs in Valentine, one behind the sheriff's office and one with a sign above it that says "pigs" near the other animals.

wild boars and such do the trick as well.

There are areas in th game where canada geese will rest in groups of up to 15 (usually between 10-12) if you can sneak up close enough and pib them, you're golden.

There is one such instance in the heartfield overflow behind the little farm that's adjacent to it, if you walk up to the little cliff there's a small hill on the other side of the wee stream, you'll find the geese resting there.

If I'm not mistaken there is also a group usually resting in front of the Wolf Man's cave, if you know where that is (follow the Ronoake river down from Brandywine Drop and you can't miss it)

If you also hear honks overhead, there might be a flock of geese/ducks flying by, if you're quick about it you can shoot em down.

that's probably one of the greatest uses for dynamite that i've ever heard of, if it's possible to time it so they're all caught in the explosion

agreed, farming is not even necessary if you are always keeping an eye out for ducks/geese overhead. pheasants have animal fat too, along with the odd bears and wild boars.

In most towns or somewhat civilized areas you can find pigs in pens.

Also boars are all over the swampy area too, mostly on the other side of the river though somewhat near Lemoyne.
