Better Smoking

What's with the smoking in this game , my character lights up a cigar / cigarette then throws it away after one puff of smoke . Is there a way to make the moment last longer ? Thanks

Agreed. When idle smoking animation should be a lot longer then 1 puff

They show near full animation when skinning but went ghetto with the smokes

i think its mind that smoke kills or drop cigarette or no smoking :D

not for single player, but in online if you hold down the animations, you'll keep puffing longer, and even get a 'flourish' animation.

There is an emote which you can equip from the player menu...Its exactly what you want

This is for RDO, there isn't a player menu in SP.

By now (2025) there are several smoking mods (available at Nexus Mods) for RDR2 SinglePlayer that allow you to smoke longer and even during activities like card playing and gunfighting. Search "Smoking Complete" and "Serenity" in Nexus Mods RDR2.

I would love Rockstar to make a professional smoking DLC for RDR2 (since all private mods have their specific problems) so that it can be a main game feature. It would do so much good for the atmosphere in the game.

IIRC in Snake Eater you could use the VERY faint light from a cigar/cigarette to see a LITTLE better in total darkness. What a fantastic game. Still have fond memories altering my memory card so that i could kill a boss from old age by saying 50 years had gone by. Brilliant.
