Can't purchase gold bars

I also got confused. Bought the game on Steam, but when click shopping goods with catalog or buying gold bars in game, it links to Rockstar "stores" or account, not quite sure can purchase and pay with PayPal or available Steam Wallet.

Collecting gold bars by complete the missions or challenges are way to slow and too little.

It's faster if you hit that 21 day bonus, but at first it is slow. Want to get major gold bars and quickly? Become a bounty hunter. You can get up to a bar per bounty if the bounty pays enough.

Be careful too, as of saturday night (for me) I have seen modders in game taking away your cash or gold. You won't notice it until you log out or teleport and the balance changes. I ran into some people clearly modding and one witha low level account sent me a message about taking my balance through social club, and they did. I'm guessing some site out there is selling accounts cheap because this gta online nonsense happens again...

True story right here. Wonder if they can also delete items from your camp, got ganked today, log on no tent and no stewpot that was bought. Not like Lucre is easy to come by if you're legit.

Yeah, but it needs 15 or 20 gold bars to get license to Bounty Hunter. It will take many weeks or months to get that amount if you play game just a couple of hours per day or per week.

Months? You can get at least 2 gold bars from daily challanges.

No, no it doesn't lol. Just playing the game and doing the random free roam events or showdowns will get you that much in a few hours. If you play the game casually, as in not do anything team based? It will take months. If you play the game as an online game? It will be done in a matter of hours.

No, no it doesn't lol. Just playing the game and doing the random free roam events or showdowns will get you that much in a few hours. If you play the game casually, as in not do anything team based? It will take months. If you play the game as an online game? It will be done in a matter of hours.

Yes, a few hours. A showdown takes 5-10 minutes, it rewards anywhere from 0.16 to 0.24 gold bars. If you factor that in+doing dailies, you can get around 4-5 gold in 2ish hours or so. So, remove the dailies and simply do showdowns+free roam events and you still make a good amount of gold. My friend only bought gold for the pass and makes more gold in a day than I do and I am at the 21 day bonus. All he does is missions, it's entirely possible and is up to the player to pull it off.
