Enter -cpuLoadRebalancing into Launch Settings for Freezing Fix!!!
I had terrible 10-20 second freezes (it happened in combat almost always) to the point of unplayability.
If you are experiencing the same please try entering -cpuLoadRebalancing into steam launch settings/command for the game.
It completely fixed freezing for me (so far) and improved my fps slightly.
Just putting it out there so more people with this issue can maybe get to playing the game sooner.
Good luck!

Check your FPS and if it isn't sudden FPS dips then it prolly one of many technical issues this bad and unoptimized port has. It didn't help too much with my stuttering either but it isn't neirly as bad as the freezing was so it's mostly playable for now untill more fix patches come, hopefully soon. Check some online guides for graphics and if you dare some unconvectional fixes but those fixes can damage or break or game in some cases, especially for people with lower end PC so beware. Good luck

i dunno i have
i5 4570
rx 580
8gb ram
thats not the best thing but i have seen people running lower cpu and lower gpu and same ram and they have stable fps with no stutters keep in mind the stutters are there even on the lowest settings including low textures and on a 768p resolution too :( my problem isnt with the fps cause i get more than 60fps in open areas and 45 fps in towns and cities which is good considering those specs i guess the problem is the wierd the many stutters that happens randomly in any place

I 100% agree. I've got pretty simillar situation. Tried numerous things and te stuttering still presists. There almost no correlation between lower and higher end PC, ingame settings or outside tweaks so it's hard to pin point what it is and what helps cuz it's so random for every other person. I just hope these ♥♥♥♥ ass devs push out more and better performance omptimization patches way sooner and I've also read online is unplayable cuz of hackers so that sucks too but I wouldn't know that one for sure yet cuz I'm focusing on singleplayer first. The 42-48 fps fps drops in towns are annoying, the stuttering is a drain on eyes, I can't play without v-sync cuz of horrific screen tearing and some textures look really weird and muddy/gloomy at times but at least game seems really good otherwise. Let's hope there come some actually good performance optimization patches And Fast!

a needed bump

Yeah It's not hardware related, I've recently upgraded processor from 9700k to 9900k so no hyperthreading to hyperthreading and I get stutters with both AND an RTX 2080ti, TWO different models too. Vulkan has generally worse performance but does eliminate the stutter for me

That too but some of us had actual still image for 5-20 seconds which made game completely unplayable and this is a good thing ro try instead of doing whole process lasso thing or altering games files etc. But yeah it helped with stutter for me too a bit altho I still get em sometimes and like you said they don't seem to correspond to graphics intensity or power of your pc.

Im not puttin 111GB game on my C drive. Besides the command line fixed it. And it seems that it's a common problem for quad core cpus where game peaks cpus above 98% and then the freeze happens.
-cpuLoadRebalancing worked wonders for me. Thank you kindly.

You're welcome. Thx for replying. It's good to bump posts with this launch command line so ppl with freezing can potentionally have a quick one time fix as well.
