It won't, I've tried that before, usually what happens is, the character you go talk to, starts the conversation, and then when it's Arthurs turn to talk its just completely quiet, you have the "cinematic view" like you do in all cutscenes and such. The funny part is that, if there's supposed to be a cinematic cutscene, what happens is you just get a cinematic view, the character talks and move just like in the cinematic, but you still have control over Arthur and can move around, wherever you want, except, you can't do anything, except walking. So there's no way to progress through the cinematic and there's no way to make Arthur start talking again.
And the problem here is, soon as I encounter the person and take him off the horse, Arthur goes mute. And it doesn't matter how I take care of him, be it killing him or hogtying him.. It still makes Arthur go mute. All I want is for me to be able to hear the dialogue with the women I saved.. but at this point I'm just ready to complete the damn encounter save and reload just so he gets the ability to speak back.
Doubt this will help but I'm desperate and going to try restart my PC
I even tried to do it twice, altho the second time there was still the issue of sound disappearing but only for the the part where Arthur was calming the horse. There were no lines of dialogue or sounds coming out from Arthur. However as soon as you cut loose the girl, he began talking again...
What a buggy, glitchy mess of a game this is...
Next time I'm just going to ignore this encounter since it's so colossally bugged.
