Family sharing does not work
I bought the full price game and it works for the account that bought the game. But the other family memebers don't see this game in the shared library. What's the problem here?

yea i found out the same thing... basically certain games are excluded from family sharing :( rockstar wants us to buy multiple copies.

It's most likely because the Social Club account and the Steam account are permanently tied.

GTAV didn't have family sharing either.
Technically, you could share the access to the files, but you would always need to log in with both accounts to be able to play.

This has sometimes ended in the peculiar situation, where someone shared away the game before doing the initial Social Club account login, ending up with their family member tying their Social Club account.

Too bad. I hope that family link on Google Stadia will work .... also with Red Dead Redemption 2 ...

It's not. I've shared my copy of GTAV with my family members for years = it only stopped working in the most recent update to the rockstar games launcher - where a new "Play On Steam" button appears in the launcher when you're logged into steam with one of your family accounts. Essentially - they have CHANGED the launcher to remove functionality we've previously had access to and no one is up in arms about it except for the few folks that use this feature i guess.

Are you sure!? Ive had GTAV since releass and even tried family sharing many times. It didnt work. And also R* already stated way way back then that GTAV wont be able to family share. That was after its pc release. Im sorry but I find it hard to believe you got it to work.

Yeah, back in early 2017 I read the first posts about family sharing not working.

I guess its same reason why we cannot upgrade editions, but have to buy full edition again: money.

All the games which need 3rd party account don't support family sharing.
RDR2 requires a Rockstar account, so you can't share it.

Erm GTA 5 has never had family sharing. Done mainly to stop cheaters just using another steam account when they get banned.
