Sure but once for no apprent reason the bounty has skyrocketed (well "no reason": attacking a train)
But still didnt expect to get a 1500$ bounty on my head, especially since there were no witnesses
I mean, I ve done way worse like shooting people in the center of Saint Denis... and I received something like 100-150$ bounty (probably even lower)

you can apparently get thrown in jail in the online since there's awards related to it... but it's never happened to me and i don't know how it works
as far as i know there is no "surrender" option once you are engaged with hostile npcs, if you don't want to kill them then your best bet is to try to evade them and just hope they go away
WOW! 1500 dollar bounty already huh. You just be a regular Jesse James wannabe!@
Once you have a $10 or more bounty then npx bounty hunters will randomly come after you.
I read you have to be on foot and stand still without drawing weapons to let them capture you.
At $20 and up player bounty hunters of the appropriate role rank can be sent after you.
In single player. But yeah! 1500 in a few seconds: on a big bridge on the north of the map, silent kill the back of the train guard, no witnesses and BAM for bno reason, marshals poped out of nowhere... 1500$
You got snitched!
I don't think that my bounty was at that level when I robbed a train last time. "Business wise", I robbed more than the bounty price, resulting in a positive net income.
You might have done more gruesome things or already had a bounty on your head before deciding to rob a train.
In order to surrender to the law all you have to do is NOT point your gun at them. Ideally you have it holstered. You will get a "Lawman" prompt which will give you the option to surrender.
(In story mode at least, haven't played online)
