saint denis spikes
Hi! rtx 2080 super, i7-6700k, 16 GB RAM, samsung 860 EVO SSD
game ran absolutely fine (65-100 fps) until now.

i reached saint denis, ~70 fps constant, discovered where Bronte lives (after the encounter with the kids) and then I took the mission for the professor to get his moonshine; got the coach with moonshine, professor told me to get the permit from the chief of police so I went into town

I now experience sudden spikes in the town, especially when moving the camera suddenly (peak frame times are as high as 30 whereas the average is 10-14)

I also have a g-sync monitor (acer xb271) but g-sync can't handle the spikes and the game feels horrible

any ideas? did you also experience this issue in saint denis?

CPU bottleneck, it mostly happens in saint denis, every 4c/8t CPU is being used over 90% in saint denis if the framerate target is 60fps. I play at 4K on a rtx 2080ti and a i7 2600k, the only time I get CPU limited is in certain places in that city in any other place I'm GPU limited. I get about 2-5 fps less when it happens and that causes those spikes, the only thing you can do is to OC that CPU and close as much programs as possible that eat your CPU in the background while playing. That helped me and now I'm probably 99% GPU bound.

Lowering the lighting settings might also help. It makes a huge difference on Ultra/High in St.Dennis.
