Missing Legendary Beaver tooth

so I killed and skinned the legendary beaver, I took the pelt to the trapper and made some cloths items with it, but i have now found when i go to the fence it says i do not have the Beaver tooth to make the trinket, any one else had this issue?

You might be alright, I just found a post on reddit where someone had the same problem and someone replied with this information....

The issue solved itself. Apparently when you lose a legendary pelt, it makes its way to the trapper. If you lose a legendary component, it makes its way to the fence. Just go to the nearest fence/trapper, and the vendor will have the component/pelt as if you'd brought it there.

Hopefully it works out for you and it just appears at the fence.

Yep, think it goes to vendor by default as fail safe if your satchel is full and can't loot it.

I have slept for about a week of in game time but sadly the fence still does not have the beaver tooth, i have googled a few posts and i think it is a bug where the beaver does not actually drop the tooth when you skin it, i killed it last week so i dont really want to go back to a really old save i have so i think its lost forever, note to self save the game before each legendary kill lmao
