Seriously Rockstar?!? what in the actual fk?
So currently the only way i can play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up release is by restarting my PC
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I. WANT. TO. PLAY.
Ontop of that i have to delete the System file from the doccuments folder which doesn't always work AND i did the so called "fix" where you enter in boot options for the game.

Anyone know how to obliterate this issue once and for all?
and i mean other than loading it into a trebochette and launching it back at Rock"star"

I just love how it only came up for me AFTER the 2 hour refund mark.
I think i'm going to try anyway because this is unacceptable.

this -ignorepipelinecache, or -dx12 , changing from vulkan to direct x12, deleting in documents the sga datas,trying with benchmark and then story,deactivated vsync.. it doesnt worked anything,

tried everything, still couldnt get the game to work, when i change to vulkan it crashes to the desktop , when i set to dx12 i get error message then it crashes to the desktop. cant open story mode online nor benchmark, i select story mode, then its loading, and as soon as loading icon shows up in bottom right, screen flickers and i get error

C/users/you/documents/rockstar games/red dead redemption 2. Go to settings, and delete everything in the folder! try this found it in another thread maybe it'll help you out

None of these fixes work.
Can't access single player which was the entire reason i bought the game.
Still no news from Rockstar about when this magical update drops either.

I had/have the exact same problem. I found a way around it. Start the game, go to settings, run the benchmark, after the snow scene starts exit benchmark, and start story mode. This has worked 100% of the time for me! Good luck!

Wow, this actually worked for me. I have been waiting for them to fix this for a couple weeks now. I thought it had something to do with restoring my PC and transferring all the old RDR2 files over, but this solution works for me. Thanks.

Nope it seems to be effecting higher end PCs.
My friend with a 980 can run it fine where i on a 2080 can not.
