(SOLVED) PS4 Controller Issue: Game thinks L3 is constantly held down
Hey there everyone. I use my PS4 controller to play the game. There wasn't any issue with it, until about 4 days ago. At first, I noticed that the "hold start for more info" option wasn't working. It would just take me to the map instead. I thought this was just a bug at first, but it never stopped being an issue. Then I realized that the "press R3 to save outifit", in the wardrobe, option wasn't working anymore. Then, what led me to believe the game is thinking the L3 button is held down, I no longer needed to press L3 and R3 to go into eagle vision. Just pressing R3 activates it. L3 still works by itself, to crouch. I opened up Game Controllers in windows, and verified that the L3 button isn't registering as being held down, and operates normally. However, the game reads things differently. I plugged in my steam controller, and no longer had the issue. However, that controller is useless in a gun fight, so I switched back to my PS4 controller.

Anyone know a fix? Or does anyone else have this problem?

Check within Steam if the controller configuration has changed...

I checked it, and nothing has changed. That was the first thing I checked. I checked it again, and its still default setup.

Sorry, I forgot to post that I solved the issue. Steam automatically chose a community layout for my controller. One that tied things like "holding the start button presses the M key" and other nonsense. I just changed them all to only use the button, instead of activating keyboard keys, then saved the configuration as my own. After that, I haven't had a single problem.
